Everyone knows that “Laundry Day” is the day when you’re wearing mis-matched clothes because everything else is dirty. It’s also the name of underground electro-pop heroes Peroxide Mocha’s 5th album, featuring songs about breakfast, laundry, board games, card games, facial symmetry, temping, dancing, D-I-V-O-R-C-E, and the fact that Blondie would have been a pretty great band had Debbie Harry been able to stop talking on the god damned phone for one hot minute. Peroxide Mocha once again walk the fine line between celebrating the mundane and the absurd. Cover photo by Philip Douglas Gilston.
For the third year in a row, Peroxide Mocha offer up a freebie original Christmas tune to get you in the mood. 2010′s offering was the jaunty earworm “Kitty Don’t Eat That Tinsel”, which may or may not have been inspired by true events! This free download includes a karaoke version for all your holiday party needs.
Here is a fresh new pack of remixes from our 2009 album “Making Out With Strangers”, reswizzled by people undoubtedly more talented and famous than us: Jean Jacques Smoothie, Bombaman, Chris Jay, Microfilm, DJ Weekend and Panda No Panda. Amazing cover painting by Jason Diersman.
In 2009, Peroxide Mocha returned after a LONG hiatus to bring the world their 4th studio album, Making Out With Strangers. Leaving behind their established low-fi cut and paste pop sound, the band adopted a more serious lyrical tone and slick electro-pop production to create a disco album that they love from start to finish.
